Bulk SKU Image Renamer
Rename a whole batch of product photos by SKU — sequential numbers or Amazon’s variant suffixes (MAIN, PT01–PT08, SWCH) — then download them all as a ZIP. Your images never leave your device.
First image = main shot. Drag to reorder.
Amazon image naming, explained
When you upload product images by SKU (flat file / bulk), Amazon reads the variant from the filename:
SKU123.MAIN.jpg · SKU123.PT01.jpg … SKU123.PT08.jpg · SKU123.SWCH.jpg
MAIN = main image (pure white background) · PT01–PT08 = additional shots · SWCH = swatch. This tool sets those suffixes automatically.
How Amazon names product images by SKU
When you upload images in bulk by SKU (through a flat file or the image uploader), Amazon reads the variant from the filename. The pattern is SKU.MAIN for the main white-background image, SKU.PT01 through SKU.PT08 for additional shots, and SKU.SWCH for a swatch.
This tool lets you drop in a whole folder of photos, set the SKU, reorder them so the first one becomes MAIN, and rename them all at once — either with those Amazon suffixes or as simple sequential numbers like SKU-01, SKU-02. It then packages everything into a single ZIP.
Because the renaming and zipping happen entirely in your browser, even large batches are instant and none of your images are uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
How does Amazon match images to a product by filename?
In bulk image upload, Amazon uses the filename to map each image to a SKU and a position: SKU.MAIN is the main image, SKU.PT01–PT08 are additional images, and SKU.SWCH is a swatch.
What do PT01, PT08, and SWCH mean?
PT stands for 'product image' — PT01 through PT08 are the additional gallery shots in order. SWCH is a swatch image, typically used for variation color/material thumbnails.
Does this upload the images to Amazon for me?
No. It only renames your files and gives you a ZIP to download. You then upload that ZIP or the files through Amazon's image uploader or a flat file.
Can I reorder which image becomes MAIN?
Yes. Drag the rows to reorder; the first image in the list is named MAIN (or -01 in sequential mode), so put your best white-background hero first.
Is it free and private?
Yes. It is free with no signup, and all renaming and zipping run locally in your browser — your images never leave your device.
